Mercury: Logan's Ruling Planet

 

This planet moves around the heavens quickly always one sign ahead or behind the sun or in the same sign. Gemini symbolizes the presentation of ideas, mental curiosity, development of the mind, the concept of the new and the Logos. It represents our 5 senses and how they work, as well as communication. This planet also shows you where you have issues communicating or blocks indicating that we are unwilling to share, may be afraid to share, or may not be able to hear. This planet gives you an idea as to if this blockage occurred in childhood and you are carrying it into adulthood or that we never learned to discuss things properly, or fairly or not at all. Stress is laid on the parental influence because we are species of imitators. Since Mercury rules over the Air sign of Gemini in this chart the stress that was laid on the parent was on the father. Air signs, or positive signs, look up to the father figure for all of their imitating cues.

 

Looking at Logan's chart her Mercury is on another sign that isn't the same sign as the sun. This means that what Logan says that she needs may not be the what Logan actually needs. or even what she really wants.

Logan has a creative mind that likes to play and com  up with creative ideas. She has a distinctive and humorous verbal style. Logan identifies strongly with the way that she thinks and takes pride  in doing so. Since she does have such a vital mentality is that of either overplaying or underplaying her hand. the reason being that she is frightened of not making a big enough impression or of looking ridiculous. Logan has the courage to put her money where her mouth is and she can rely on her bright mind to pick up the mental thread should she loose it.

shows that her mind is a major material asset or a major liability. So Logan needs to learn how to get the best out of her energies and eliminate their weaknesses. Tells that Logan was exposed to a father image that helps her learn how to communicate, even though family communication tends to be serious. Because of the attitudes absorbed in the early environment Logan can follow through on details, work well with the general public, and have well ordered minds. This aspect usually leads to a a serious note within the personality.

this aspect represents the functioning mind with the powers of the collective unconscious, transformation and creative insight. Less evolved manifestations of the energy have to be worked through before true creativity can express itself. Logan was born into a family that finds the staus quo difficult to cope with. Something is wrong with their surroundings, and the people born with this aspect are convinced early in life that they cannot cooperate with their peers, and that communication is not a part of the family life. Malicious or sadistic humor may be directed at these children. The dominant parent (Father) will fight the recessive parent (mother) for control. Words come in anger without forethought. As this energy s understood, people with this aspect can learn to communicate with their peers, omitting their hidden motives. The energy can become quite fertile and creative. When the energy is used improperly the square can obsess alot- conversations may be obsessive, and She can be manipulative. this conversation pattern is learned in the early family environment; it can be changed merely by becoming conscious of its existence. This energy can overwhelm others: Logan  gets her own way because others find it easier to agree with them and then get away. This can inhibit the development of sincere relationships because conversation and thoughts are not shared. 

Logan's mind is extremely profound mentally and has a knack for getting to the root of the matter. She is able to reach deep understandings of the actual workings of the Nature of Life itself. Logan needs to learn how to avoid playing mind games with people and her mental conceit or else she will be doomed to a life of intellectual conflict and mental paranoia. Logan should focus on filling her mind with equally profound material or she will become a big gun that only shoots peas. 

 

Putting it all Together:

 

This chart has such interesting dynamics within it. Looking at the Mercury profile we see that Logan naturally looked to her father for her cues for life. But knowing that Logan is a Cancer she is now faced with the problem of being exactly like her mother. Watching the mom and dad interact was not a pleasant interaction. One parent was striving to be more dominant than the other using angry words and sadistic humor to get their point across. This gives Logan sense of split personalities because she doesn't know which figure to look up to for her betterment since mom and dad both have a huge influence over her. Due to the way that Logan father treated her we see that there is a serious nature to Logan that makes her hard and lonely. Her father has alot to do with her communication issues in that regard. Looks like her father is the reason why Logan has a hard time opening up to others but he did give her the ability to pay attention to details and have a serious tone to her way of thinking.
