Ashlee's Profile of the Big 3 + Air Signs: Gemini

Ashlee Lindsay's Natal Chart
The Big 3 + Air Signs + Gemini

I do not normally show people my chart since the consultation is about you and not me but since you asked nicely here it is. I'm trying my best to not put the letter I in my assessment of myself since I'm being objective about this.

Gemini Ascendant + Sagittarius Descendant, Sun in Gemini, Moon in Taurus

The Ascendant indicates the things that we are trying to be; not the things that we are. This is where the individual creates her persona; a survival mechanism that allows us to put our best foot forward and be seen for what we want to be seen as. Depending on the environment the ascendant qualities and traits might have been more accepted than the person's sun and moon aspects were. When this happens the person learns to hide their "true self" and only bring out their "representative" i.e. the ascendant sign. What is challenging is that when we are young we are at odds with our selves- the person that we are trying to be (the Ascendant), the person that we are (the Sun) and how that person responds to life. (the Moon)

Gemini Ascendant

You approach life in the spirit of inquiry, like the eternal student. You love making connections between one thing or another, without necessarily having to feel any sense of where it is all heading or what it all means. You are also a keen maker of contacts, priding yourself on being acquainted with all types of individual and scene. Not surprisingly, you are equipped with quick wits and word power. Quite what this all amounts to, that is, who it is that is doing all this talking, thinking, enquiring, can be elusive. And so you attract an Other intent on teaching you to become some kind of comprehensive whole. Because of this, Other can organize you into and entity of more meaning and emotional integrity- if you let them. However, this can make you feel preached at, and you mat wiggle even more in order to remain the free agent you identify with being, even chopping and changing identities to facilitate this.
Your friendliness and conversational ease give lie to the fact that behind such affability there languishes a quite aloof and even supercilious being. It is as if there is a dimension to your personality that you feel is apart from the world, that no one can ever reach or understand. But because this is your Shadow and as such is denied, you wind up feeling there is a part of you that you must keep out of sight, and so you use your agile tongue and wits to throw Other off the scent. If you accepted your Shadow, you would find that is not so much superiority but more a sense of your higher self- looking out for you in spite of yourself.
You love a relationship that feels as if it is going somewhere. The trouble is, with your dilettante-like nature, you will interpret this quite literally as going on a trip or traveling abroad with someone. Really, this means that your relationship has to amount to something in a philosophical or even a religious sense, like a moral statement. It is as if the relationships a hair-clasp that holds together all the disparate strands of your Mercurial temperament. Without understanding or accepting this style, you had better resign yourself to a series of inconsequential affairs posing as a love life- the sum being less than the total of the parts.
When or if alone, you will, apart from anything else, have your alter ego for company. And this is the clue as to why you are alone: you are disinclined to allow an Other to see the side to your nature which is the 'dark twin', that is, the one you who you assume would not be accepted by Other. What characterizes this dark twin you may know in your heart, and it could be described somewhere in these pages under the influence of some planet. But whatever it is like. let it out so it might grow to be seen, known, loved, and transformed.
Mercury is the ruling planet which governs the link between your exterior being and your internal being. Your Other is Sagittarius and therefore the planet Jupiter governs your relationships.

The Sun

If the Ascendant tells us who we are trying to be then the Sun placement shows us what we are or who we are. This is our true self; we just hide it underneath the persona of the Ascendant. When we chase and pursue our persona we neglect the person that were are suppose to be.

Sun in Gemini

Your essential life purpose is to make contact with, and connections between, whatever or whoever you regard as important- which is more or less everything! This you do because at heart you find everything interesting in some way or another. You are very alive to the variety of animate and inanimate objects on this planet, and you want to get to know as many of them as possible. As a rule though, 'get to know' is all you want to do
As long as you have a 'taste' you are satisfied; getting deeply involved in not really to your taste, and you will flip like a coin from one interest or person to another as it suits you. There may be other parts of your personality/Birth chart that need or are attracted to more intimate situations, in which case a more profound sense of human interaction will be asked of you.
Like the many facets of life that you are acquainted with, you are able to turn your hand to many tasks and skills; indeed it is your hands, as well as your quick mind and wits, that are your most excellent tools. You are, or should be, the communicator. There is nothing like a Gemini for keeping itself, the world and society in touch with each other and with what is happening.

Sun in the 12th House

All of this is likely to center upon and be caused by experiences of the dim and distant past- of this life, womb-life, or even before that. Whether these experiences are felt like heavy shadows or like paradise lost, your will must bend itself to clearing out that closet of repressed longings, regrets and vague reservations. You are open to unseen forces- for good and ill- and this could also incline towards addictions or strange phobias and notions, but at the positive end you can be inspired artistically or as a channel for spiritual messages. The twelfth house can be the 'hell of the horoscope' or the 'heaven of the horoscope' - everything depends upon your essential integrity of being
Depending on your sun profile as a whole, managing all of this can be quite some task, and may restrict your life to a degree that is proportionate to how much that closet has not been cleared. In the process, or eventually, you can become a light in the darkness to others who are similarly confined by their fears and weaknesses. Inner peace for one and all is the only ultimate goal for you, so meditation, selfless service and psychological awareness (or sometimes practice) are your essential ways of living. Because of your basically reclusive nature, you prefer to work behind the scenes, go into retreat occasionally, and not be too much in the public eye (unless there are indicators in your chart that contradict this like strong Leo placements) Looked at it another way, your public persona may be very different to the real you.

The Moon

The Moon reflects the light the sun is giving off. it shows us how we respond to the others, the world and to ourselves when we are emotionally hurt. It indicates our security needs, the mother, and fear of the unknown.

Moon in Taurus

Your reigning need is to feel emotionally stable and mentally secure. The former is taken care of by the fact that you are reluctant to pursue any idea or activity that is going to rock the boat, coupled with the fact that you do have a fairly unflappable nature. Ironically, however, when a change is required you could be slow to act, or become bored, to the point of destabilizing your position.
Where material stability is concerned, you have a natural sense of the importance of property and income. From the word go, you used your developed market instincts and sense of value to satisfy this need. The danger here is that you can let material considerations blind you to your emotional and psychological requirements. In any event, though, you are unlikely to get caught without the material wherewithal and, providing there isn't a mean streak in your personality, you can be of great material support and assistance to others who are less financially together.

Moon in the 11th House

All the needs and feelings are most likely to be met through friends, clubs, social movements, or the nurturing of some ideal. All these matters will go through phases, causing your goals and allegiances to fluctuate. Overall, you manage to keep your emotional life very light and breezy.
You prefer not to get morbid and heavy in one-to-one relationships, and if things get that way, you will go out with friends, or to somewhere impersonal. This can be a good safety valve, but a bad habit if you make your friends or associations into an emotional crutch. It is wise to take a break from them every so often in order to re-establish your own identity, not to mention facing anymore intimate emotional commitments.
All the same, you are capable of appealing to the crowd on an emotional level, which means that you have a finger on the pulse of the public's attitude to political, sociological or cultural issues.

Polarities

Since Gemini is considered to be a male sign and Taurus is characterized by being feminine she has a trinity with two masculine planets and one feminine one. What does this mean? That when she was born she was born going out of balance She can be animus controlled more easily; she can manifest her personality  in such a masculine way that she is not well received. She can seem too aggressive. She may not value her feminine self, and she may not truly value her biological role in which she was cast. She may be overly aggressive with men; she may value an intellectual companion more than an emotional one; she may value professional standing more than a personal relationship. This type of woman should not avoid developing her masculine traits (the intellect), but the feminine side of her personality should also be acknowledged and respected. As the masculine traits are developed and used in perspective, she can use the healthy energies and discard the less useful ones. However feelings are felt; not thought.

Air signs and Gemini

People born with the sun in one of the air signs is a born communicator. The air signs symbolize the various kinds of communication that exist in our universe. These are the people interested in exploring the world of the mind. they live in their heads or minds, they are mental people, they react to life from a mental point. They enjoy exploring the world or words, education, the various levels of philosophy and spirituality or a combination of the above. These children usually wind up in families where no one communicates in a way that a child can understand; such circumstances can send the Air signs on a search for the meaning of words, the meaning of the mind and all the related fields of communication.
Gemini people are born into the most personal of the Air signs. They wonder where they fit in the scheme of things. They have lots of  'me' 'i' and 'my' in their consciousness, and their life experience requires the incorporation of self into a larger universe. Geminis are raised in a father-dominated atmosphere. Communication between the parents is difficult for these children to understand, because disagreements between the parents are solved with words and not deeds. Since young children do not understand what words mean, they are uncertain as to what all of the fuss is about. But, they do know something important is going on because the parents are upset by the strange words. Gemini children learn to use words well, for they are good imitators; but often they don't know what the words mean. Because Geminis find communication intriguing, they pursue either the world of conversation or the world of books. The media becomes important to them, and therefore they make great contributions in that area.
Geminis are explorers of the intellect and are naturally very curious people. Their curiosity is manifested in several ways, depending on the childhood environment. If little to no education is available, or if there are too many air signs in the chart, they want to talk; they learn by talking, they entertain by talking, and they live a lively and entertaining social life. Each person that they meet is a new source of information or entertainment. As they seek each new experience they forget the old sources. This can cause conflict in their love relationships because their partner will resent all the new people. if the background was more intellectual, or placed more stress on education, Geminis will explore the world of the intellect and pursue the study of language and/or education. In addition, they are enthusiastic about sharing information and social activities with all kinds of new and interesting people. However, the more educated Geminis have the same problem as those who aren't; they have trouble maintaining interest in an ongoing relationship.
The parents of Gemini children have some interesting reactions to each other in terms of body language. The impact of the words they react to fascinate Geminis, who feel left out. Geminis often try to recreate these situations in adult life and in their relationships. They need verbal interchanges with their mates. This interchange can start with harmless banter and works its way into bickering. If the mate of a Gemini doesn't understand the Geminis need to see a reaction (body language) to words, and if the mate doesn't respond appropriately to the situation, terrible verbal fights can ensue, leaving lots of hurt feelings and misunderstandings. After the fight, Gemini feels wonderful but the mate is ready to pack; and after a long series of these interchanges, the Gemini may find they've lost a partner
One of the relationship difficulties for Geminis stems from a fear or a disinterest in working through problems to some compatible compromise or solution. Since they are social at heart, it's easier for them to run off and explore the new and different rather than to work through a serious situation with an  'old' partner. This type of Gemini needs to learn to work through disagreements, without becoming resentful.
The Gemini female child admires her father, who is often a respectable professional. Or, if daddy is not a professional of some sort he usually is known for something that he accomplished that was special. She wants to be special like he is, but there is resentment directed toward him along with the admiration. At some time in her childhood when it was important that she have his attention, he ignored her. And so, she brings her resentment for her father into her adult life.
Because Gemini is a mental sign, it isn't always easy for the female to incorporate her emotional needs into her professional life. She sometimes looks at her body and physical needs as alien to her. She tends to select a mate based on his ability to mentally stimulate her, and she wants companionship with a partner almost as much as a Sagittarius female does. She loves the company of men because she feels she can share her ideas with them; being born in a masculinity polarity, she wants to feed her intellect. Because of this polarity, she may reject the feminine self. The less evolved Gemini type avoids the company of women because she basically doesn't respect the position of woman. As she becomes more conscious, she begins to cherish her relationships with women who are interested in mental development like she is. She may even find conversations with women more stimulating than the ones she has with men for there are no sexual overtones.

Putting it all Together:

Normally I would synthesize what I have just given you information-wise but I think the above sums it up pretty nicely. But in the spirit of things I will go into my past:

Looking back I was rather a very shy child inside of the house but outside amongst friends I became alive. This is where I began to have the 'of two minds' mentality that a Gemini would be so famous for. This was a battle between the Ascendant and the Sun being in the 12th house; and each side fit a specific role within my life. At this point I hadn't developed emotions; I was all about the intellect- education was stressed at home and in school. I read a lot. School became my escape which is why attending classes is so natural to me. I like to learn. It was a safe place. I was allowed to grow and be creative and got recognized for my efforts and achievements; not criticized because I wasn't good enough. I came to understand this concept on a mental plane that I wasn't good enough but I was incapable of feeling those emotions. As a result,  I nurtured and developed my brain and not my heart and rejected any feminine qualities that I possessed convinced by my father that they were a 'weakness' on my part and needed to be eradicated.

You can see that I have come a long way in the progression that is myself just based off of the Big 3 placements.

Paris' Venus Profile...

Paris' Venus Profile

The planetary influence of Venus shows us our attractions and our harmony. It can show you what you need and can give by way of love and affection, beauty and happiness. Positively it shows as social graces and charm. negatively represents indulgence, superficiality and wanton pleasure seeking which can be interpreted as anti-social. It also represent the ability to relate, harmonize, and to express ones self through art and a sense of aesthetics. it has a great deal to do with female sexuality and sensuality and symbolizes what you like.

Venus is never far from the Sun but here it is. Venus is usually one sign ahead or behind the sun just as Mercury is. Here Venus is 2 signs behind the sun which is very unique. It represents the impact of the mother has on the child's psyche on a subconscious level. Every mother has her own attitudes regarding the concept of motherhood, the responsibilities of rearing children and viewpoints regarding self- value. If her mother had poorly developed concepts of regarding the feminine principle, if her self-esteem is low if she thinks that woman (or the feminine) have little value, these concepts will be passed into the child. Hard aspects indicate that Paris' mother affected her child adversely because of her state of mind at the time. Because this influence happens within the first 3 years of Paris' life the effect on the subconscious is hard to diagnose. The mother may change, mature, become self aware, develop self esteem later, and Paris won't remember the early pattern. Shaina is receptive in the formative years to the attitudes projected by her mother; but her response to the mother's influence is directed at herself. Paris may feel like she is a second class citizen, she may feel that women have no rights, and she may have little sense of self-esteem. She may be apprehensive regarding the role of the biological female; all phrases of the reproductive and mothering process may be affected in some adverse way, ranging from avoiding motherhood to overcompensating for her dislike or apprehension regarding the child rearing process. Paris may be defensive of herself and her rights not seeing clearly that those ideas could be better established within. If Paris has no need of her femininity, she may respond to love and affection with difficulty- it not seem natural to her. She may reject men who are nice to her, for when a woman regards herself as second rate she will be suspicious of anyone who likes her. As Paris becomes conscious of the limitations of her hard aspects she can cure them and thereby enter into more satisfying relationships.

Venus in Gemini
Paris likes to keep love at an adolescent level of expression. She likes the flirting, chasing and the love games, and do not like it when things get too heavy or committed. For her, love is in bud rather than in full bloom, so if you want something to last, you have to give it a chance to develop, be more steadfast, and not abandon it to the winds of fate. For her love and beauty are things of the mind, and so you may well have some literary ability. In real life, though, your predilection for keeping things light and airy can be a serious hazard to maintaining a mature relationship. And her natural flightiness would be better or well employed in some art form like dance or song. In essence, you are having a relationship with yourself. As long as this does not become too materialistic or narcissistic and wrap you up in yourself, you do keep the love stacks fresh and interesting.

Venus in the 11th house
Paris wants to experience these senses and bring this style of loving into an open friendly possibly somewhat detached and idealistic sphere of social activity. Her Venus sign qualities may not lend themselves well to this. She very much wants a partner to be on good terms with her friends and associates and to share her social aspirations. Conflicting aims or social values can spell disruption or death to a relationship. Knowing her lover initially as a friend is a strong prerequisite to having a harmonious relationship. And the actual meeting  of your mate is more likely to occur at a club or some group gathering. Her social sense is quite evolved or future-oriented, but in this respect she is inclined to forget that one person's meat is another one's poison.

Aspects to Venus

Venus sextile Jupiter
The sextile indicates a person whose psyche is constructively affect by her mother for she shows her that relationships can take place, that one can reach out and be favorably received. Metaphysically speaking, we all get what we expect. Some people are able to reach out naturally- to respond to others to ask for what is needed because the early childhood environment was encouraging. This individual will have an inner sense of security that will enable her to have the confidence she needs to pursue her goals. This aspect indicates a predilection for comfortable emotional relationships, and she will pass her responsiveness on to her children.

Venus opposing Uranus
Venus symbolizes our intellectual concept of love how we appreciate beauty, how we receive love how we approach our wants in life. it tells us something about the concept of femininity that we absorb from our mother during our formative years. Uranus is more of a generational symbol that has to do with our behavioral urges our eccentricities our more willful behavior as well as an attitude toward consciousness. When these two facets of personality combine the concept of love becomes more farsighted, perhaps more unusual or unorthodox. Here the talent in the aspect has to be worked for because the individual arrives in a difficult family atmosphere and absorbs some unproductive behavior patterns from the mother. Venus indicates that the affect of the mother on the child's psyche. Her influence will affect the formation of Paris' concept of what a woman is as well as the concept of affection, love and the ability to receive it. Uranus indicates the behavior pattern of the generation the individual is born into and the sign and house placement will show areas of willfulness and erratic or eccentric behavior. When the opposition takes place it indicates that the person is subject to some kind of loos in childhood; the aspect may or may not be as severe as Saturn afflictions to Venus. The rest of the chart will tell whether or not the mother was cruel- looking at the aspects of the moon, sun, ascendant, and determine the effects of the fourth house in order to further understand the affect of the mother. She may or may not have been cruel to the person she may have just not been involved or not cared. The aspect shapes an adult who jumps in and out of love affairs and doesn't know what she wants, for Venus represents the "I want" nature and Uranus makes that erratic. Paris' may jump from one relationship to the next, or one job to the next, or even jump in and out of career training programs for she changes her mind a lot. She doesn't know what to expect from her own emotional nature or how to receive the love given to her. She may be warm and affectionate one minute and gone the next. The fear of relationships may have something to do with the fact that her mother had an erratic personality; she may have been unpredictable when she was a child. No matter how stable she is later in life, Paris still fears a trusting relationship. The female has more difficulty with this aspect for it alters the concept of the biological female role and she may not feel comfortable coping with children (When childhood is extremely unpleasant the adult may subconsciously avoid creating and similar circumstance. This can put a damper on a relationships.) If I had to guess I would say that Paris may have been physically or mentally abused in some way when she was a child. In order to break the power of this aspect, unhealthy or erratic behavior patterns must become conscious. The abrupt handling of emotional relationships can be altered by analyzing past relationships especially in a therapeutic setting.

Venus semisquare Pluto
Venus symbolizes the intellectual concept of love; the regard for the feminine or the feminine principle. the attitude affecting a women's self worth and her response to her biological role comes from this placement for it indicates the attitudes of the mother in regard to her own nature when the individuals' psyche is able to absorb those feelings. Pluto can be identified as the unconscious motivation of a generation as well as symbolizing the portion of the collective unconscious that holds the mythic archetypal images of humanity. When this symbol is not understood consciously, it can reflect as aspect of personality that is less spectacular but more commonly recognized as forms of personal control and obsession. The hard aspects to Pluto will require that the individual move from obsessive responses to transformation and regeneration. The hard aspects may in fact cause more growth potential than the easy ones.  When Venus and Pluto come together it is obvious that the effort of the combined energies will influence the personal capacity for love. The range of feeling experience is a phenomenal for one can easily cooperate with the mood of the generation changing the patterns of social custom in a manner complementary to previous traditions , or one can function in a highly controlled manner. In the personal sense the combination reflects the possibility of including manipulation in the life experience. Because Venus is involved, the manipulation or obsession or control/power game comes from the mother influence. A person who is exposed to power games in childhood will develop into an adult who thinks she must control everyone as well- because a child can only imitate what she sees her parents doing. The facet of life that has to do with love and affection  will be the area of heaviest manipulation. In order to use the tie to the collective unconscious (symbolized by Pluto) the more obvious misuses of the energy will have to be rechanneled. When an individual takes responsibility for her actions, when she can recognize the control games that she plays, she can let them go.  When this occurs, the energy becomes creative and exciting. The ideas are new, the fountain from the collective unconscious never runs dry. The struggle is worth it. Here the mother provided an unhealthy atmosphere for the native when she was forming her reactions to the  "female" part of the world., when her psyche was developing an ability to love and to appreciate being loved, the mother was responding to her life in a plutonic manner. For some reason the mother of this individual felt that it was important to control all of the people she loved and she may have drained her family. This created a feeling in the individual that all women drain one, that all females are out to manipulate. If the Pluto influence was a physical one it will be more comprehensible in later years; but if the mother used the manipulative power of "smother love" this person may be forced to confront her at some point and this guilt over having to do so may inhibit her capacity for solving the aspect. This aspect tends to unconsciously attempt to control others. One way for the individual to become aware of how he does this is by observing others' reactions to her manipulative games. Strongly self contained people will avoid her for she tries to manipulate them, and manipulation is usually an indirect action. Some people resent controls being placed on them by the person with the Venus-Pluto semisquare, for her energy makes her feel cornered unfree unable to breathe around the Plutonic personality. The person with the aspect is often totally unaware of what she is doing, for her know no other to be. The female with this aspect feels she must hold on to her position for all it's worth or she wont have one. When Pluto aspects are strong in the natal chart it indicates a powerful personality with lots of potential for growth, but the energy must be used consciously or the individual tends to be used by it; the individual may be a victim of her own energy. When the individual can trust the natural power within, the inner self can guide her and she begins to allow things to happen. We cannot make anyone love us; we can "make" them act politely towards us, love is always a voluntary experience. When giving up controls we have to confront the fact the love cannot be forced, not made to happen. We can control with power, prestige, money or our manipulative abilities but we can never have inner feelings of security if we are living that way. When the inner confidence comes, so does the creativity.

Paris' Big 3 Aspected...

Yesterday we learned that Paris is a highly emotional person due to her experiences of her past. That she is reactionary; which means that she reacts to the vibration that others are giving off. When her feelings get hurt she has a two-fold process: Paris will yell and scream and then retreat into her shell till it is safe.

Today we will discuss the planets and the energies that also play a role in Paris' life.

The Ascendant and its aspects:

Ascendant conjunct Mars
This combination is important for the Ascendant is the house symbol of the action taken, how one starts things; and Mars is the planetary indicator of the action taken. Mars generally indicates how the sun sign qualities are put into action. This is a very powerful aspect for it indicates a high energy potential. These individuals will make quick, sometimes rash, decisions. The early childhood environment will be very active and it may even be somewhat violent. These individuals will be very familiar with anger, and the kind of anger that she was exposed to as a child will be indicated by the sign in which the conjunction occurred. In this case the conjunction is in Pisces which means the type of anger displayed was one of projected with guilt attached to it, perhaps anger that is caused by overly sensitive reactions to life. The emotional reaction to life will have to be handled constructively or Paris might spend too much time overreacting to ordinary life situations. Career decisions need to be thought out carefully to overcome the natural inclination to jump into new situations thoughtlessly.

Ascendant square Jupiter
The Ascendant is the Masquerade, the indicator of how we project our persona; it reflects how we handle new beginnings. Jupiter indicates how we relate ourselves to others, and how we relate to our personal needs. We either relate (or understand) what we start, or we don't. If we relate easily we tend to do well professionally.; if not, we really have to be brilliant in order to get ahead. When Jupiter squares the Ascendant the relationship needs argue with the persona. in Paris' case there is an argument about whether or not to put herself out there or in situations that could hurt her without overreacting.

Ascendant semisquare Saturn
Saturn indicates what we regard with caution and the Ascendant represents the persona, or how we begin something new, the aspects between Saturn and the Ascendant will indicate caution or circumspection. When Saturn squares or in this case semisquares the Ascendant the approach to any new beginning is clouded with conflict, for early in the life the Father was not encouraging. Paris will commence with new activities with caution or apprehension. Some of the conflict will be caused by an inner lack of self confidence, for early problems with the father image usually manifest as problems with authority figures later on. The semisquare indicates that there is a self-worth predicament that can be coupled with the sign quality dilemma indicated by the square aspect. Cancer rising indicates a soft approach, a need for love, a positive approach to life, perhaps the ability to nurture others that can be used in a profession. Saturn in Saggitarius suggests that the father early in life was anything but that and as a result Paris has some unresolved father issues that are impeding her adult growth. If Paris is to grow she needs to confront her image of her father and incorporate both of these strong personalities into her being without judgment; just acceptance.

Ascendant square Midhaven
The MidHeaven is the point in the sly where the Sun would be at noon. The quality of the sign placed here in the tenth house at the time of birth symbolizes the nature of your position in the world- status, profession, reputation, recognition and where your experience Authority. That being said since it is in the sign of Aries Paris has a certain boldness to make her way professionally in the world. She would do well in any type of profession that entails some type of pushing, selling or pioneering which could include the military. Holding a leading position in her career is also quite desirable as is having freedom to do things her way. At times she may have to fight pretty hard to maintain or achieve a certain position. This proves to be worth it in the long run, when she is at last out in front. To compensate for this often-hectic outer world activity it is important for her to have a harmonious home life. Making a priority out of this is desirable, and a beautiful home atmosphere is very possible. Here there is a clash between the persona of Paris and the professional that she wants to be.

The Sun and its Aspects:

Sun Conjunct Mercury
Because Paris' Sun and Mercury are both in Cancer this makes her not only act like a cancer but she also talks and communicates like a Cancer. Since Mercury represents the 5 senses as well as the mind, Mercury in Cancer people hear, speak and relate via the 5 senses in an emotional way. Mercury just helps to express the qualities of the sign type that you were born into even if it does not agree with what the Sun wants; this planet helps shine light in a positive way of growth.

Sun Opposing Neptune
There is a feeling of loss and a need for compromise added to it. The father of this child is so involved with his own spiritual growth that he ignores the child. Paris doesn't understand why her father is so distant and removed. When questioning the parents, the child is probably misinformed, for Neptune opposing the Sun often indicates that the father is either romanticized or aspersions are cast in his direction. Paris is confused as to who daddy is and therefore who she is. The world of fantasy, creativity, illusion and delusion are delights for the child. The tendency to go off into a dream world is sometimes hard to avoid.  The sense of this individuals personal reality is distorted in some way-the child feels like she is living a lie. This opposition also makes the child fantastically intuitive and psychic. It's difficult for others to understand these children. Since these people do not know what is expected of them  as far as social behavior is concerned forming love relationships can present difficulties. Communication with others may be delivered on a "mental" plane rather by verbal communication. expectations about relationships may be unrealistic, for the expectations may be full of fantasy. This in itself may prevent relationships from developing for their feelings are too hurt by too many people too often. There may be discomfort in working with the physical body so the physical emotional relationships may be difficult to consummate on the "grosser" levels since love is a spiritual experience. Much of the difficulty can be traced by and back to the father. for when this person is young the father lives in his own private world. The girl child grows up to think that all men should be like her dad. Paris is surprised to find that other adults don't act and react in the same manner similar to dad's. When the energy is understood the aspect can be really creative. Once she finds her creative outlet they love their work, they love to work with their ideas and the enthusiasm is delightful.

Sun Trine Pluto
When these two planets confront each other, two portions of the personality are interacting. The sun represents the " I am " principle in each of us. Pluto represents great transformation, for its rulership is the symbol of transformation and death. As these two to parts of the personality relate to each other they involve the principle of personal growth. Pluto brings obsession, the ability to control and manipulate, as well as the energy of transformation. As long as we hang onto our present life style and our present consciousness, we reach out more often to control others as well as the universe around us. We think that "control" will guarantee that our personal universe will not change. However, the catch 22 about aspects is that we must transform ourselves. The effects of Pluto seem to tie in with the feeling of being uprooted, or overwhelmed by something or someone much larger and stronger than ourselves. We have to learn to trust in the universe before we can let go- and when we let go of control or obsession, we are beginning our rebirth. That being said here is a soul on a constructive trip. This aspect tends to manifest on two levels: either the individual is going along for a ride in this life, a ride that allows one to enjoy all the things of the contemporary culture- the suburban home, the color tv, the joys of mass market entertainment; or the person has the energy and talent to work cooperatively with traditional managemental concerns dedicated to doing something for humanity. In each case the personality is capable of expressing the Sun energies in a constructive way as long as their involved in some kind of group endeavor. Any kind of mass media communication will be successful and fulfilling for there are natural talents for it in the chart. This is a child who was born into an atmosphere where the parents are able to teach her or reach her. The father is cooperative individual who presents the child with an image of an authority figure communicating in a warm way with other authority figures. When dad returns home from work he doesn't present a negative picture of the work world, he doesn't feel isolated as a father; therefore, the child feels more secure.  Other aspects may offset this, and the energy may not be free to flow until the "blocking" aspect is cured.

The Moon and its Aspects:

Moon Trine Saturn
The moon indicates our emotional responses to the various aspects of life, it represents our physical mother during childhood, it indicates how we react emotionally to those close to us. Saturn symbolizes restrictions, feelings of lack, inhibitions, attitudes of self-denial. It also indicates the impact of the father on the psyche. When these two planets interact with each other they indicate the mother and her emotional reactions to her environment and how they are affected by the attitudes of the father during the native's formative years. Whenever there is a contact of the moon and Saturn, the person feels that emotional reactions cannot or should not be displayed; that all authority figures ( the father, other males introduced later in life, as well as any person in authority) can restrict and restrain the emotional nature. Paris arrives in an atmosphere where the father works cooperatively with the mother and visa versa; the parents present a united front even if it is a somber one. The child learns to work through emotional problems; she offers herself carefully in a relationship, for emotions are not treated lightly. The chance of starting a relationship that works through all of the possibilities, that leaves no stone unturned, that explores all its potential, comes out of this aspect. This makes for a careful thinker someone who is reasonable in crisis situations, a person who doesn't fly off the handle in spontaneous reactions. This is a diplomatic personality.

Putting it all together:

So it looks like Paris has to come to terms with her childhood and her perception of her father and what he means to her. there is a lot of hints within her chart that indicate that the father is a source of discomfort and blocked memories that are impeding her growth as an adult. Due to her feelings regarding her father she is prone to be anti-men, or anti anything that reminds her of her father. It seems that she gets her flare for her emotional reactions from her mother because that is how she understood her mother to react.

Paris' Natal Chart... The Big 3

Paris' Natal Chart

I was lucky enough to get permission from my friend Paris to breakdown and discuss her Natal Chart.

Cancer Ascendant/ Capricorn Descendant, Sun in Cancer, Moon in Leo

The Ascendant
(the Moon)

Ascendant in Cancer
When we look at this chart we begin to notice that Paris is a Double Cancer with her moon in Leo. Due to Cancer being her rising sign Paris is a "feeler" which means that she picks up on any and all emotional climates around her with instinctive ease. She has a tendency on picking up others peoples feelings and have a hard time deciding if it is her feelings or someone elses. Cancer usually respond by giving care or sympathy, or needing it- or she simply withdraws into her shell until its safe to come out again. Cancer rising is described as the "Emotional Waste Paper Basket" for it allows you to become "dumped upon" as a result of appearing too available emotionally. With each moodiness being the hallmark of her identity Paris is inclined to attract an "Other"  who is more emotionally controlled, restrained or repressed even. The other might be somewhat older than her, biologically or psychologically, and therefore more adult or worldly. Other provides her with the equipment and technique that make it possible to function in the harsh material world that her childlike persona can blanch at. If other's more mature stance appears cold or calculating to her, though, she will give a commensurate display of fearfulness and/or withdraw. Paris has a dreamy, sensitive and sentimental response to like makes her react negatively to anything that appears to be coldly realistic and unfeeling. But that is what all it is - a reaction that interprets a businesslike and objective approach to things as being alien and unfamiliar, and therefore uncaring. Such a subjective response has at its root a feeling of insecurity that has your mother, father, and childhood as the reason behind it. Paris needs to take a step back and see that this impersonal attitude is the very objectivity, seriousness, and sober sense of purpose that she needs to learn to acquire so as to feel more safe and secure in the world. Paris requires a traditional type of relationship, where each of them has a clear sense of their role and position in it. This may feel restrictive and limiting at first but eventually and paradoxically, this feeling of having knowing your boundaries and responsibilities is what makes you feel secure and protected enough to go out and explore your potentials and make the most of yourself. An open, easy-come-easy-go kind of relationship would not give her this. When or if alone it will be very likely because she has not accepted the limitations or lessons of a relationship in the way outlines above. Without doing this a relationship or other can wither on the vine. Seeking some kind of unrealistic "freedom" can be the culprit behind this and the reason behind that can be a very basic and unconscious distrust of finding any Other whom you can rely on at all. Alternatively, not taking a tough enough "impersonal" stance with Other can leave Paris feeling emotionally exhausted if not on your own.

Sun in Cancer
If the Ascendant tells us who we are trying to be then the Sun placement shows us what we are or who we are. This is our true self; we just hide it underneath the persona of the Ascendant. When we chase and pursue our persona we neglect the person that were are suppose to be.

So now that we have dived into Paris' Ascendant information we see that she is a creature based off of emotional reactions; whether it be her own emotion or someone else's. When we look at the sun we see that Paris' essential purpose to her life is to nurture and care for whatever or whomever she believes needs it. She has an instinct for survival, marked by a sense of what best constitutes protection and nourishment. But what essentially gives her this instinct is your sense of need, sympathy and emotional receptivity. As Cancer is such a female and maternal sign, the women usually become a natural wife and mother, and she meets her own needs through meeting the needs of others. The limitation here is that such a life can become dull and automatic, with the Cancerian priority, home, turning into a prison. However, having someone or something to selflessly care for is the key to being a secure and happy Crab. What were clinging claws, or would clam up at the slightest sign of emotional intrusion, then become a pair of open arms that holds firmly, cradles gently. The acute awareness of another's feelings which negatively can feel threatened and be used to emotionally blackmail, becomes a ray of healing.

Sun in the 12th House
All of this sun energy is centered upon and caused by experiences of the dim and distant past- of this life, womb-life, or even before that. Whether these experiences are felt like heavy shadows or like paradise lost her will must bend itself to clearing out that closet of repressed longings, regrets, and vague reservations. She is open to unseen forces- for good or ill-  and this could also incline towards addictions or strange phobias and notions, but at the positive end you can be inspired artistically or as a channel for spiritual messages. The twelfth house can be the hell of the horoscope or the heaven of the horoscope- everything depends upon your essential integrity of being. Managing all of this can be quite a task and may restrict your life to a degree that is proportionate to how much that closet has not been cleared. In the process, or eventually, you can become a light in the darkness to others who are similarly confined by their fears and weaknesses. Inner peace for one and all is the only ultimate goal for Paris, so meditation, selfless service and psychological awareness( or sometimes practices) are your essential ways of living. Because of your basically reclusive nature, you prefer, to work behind the scenes, go into retreat occasionally, and not be too much in the public eye. Paris' public persona may be different than the inner Paris.

Moon in Leo
The Moon reflects the light the sun is giving off. it shows us how we respond to the others, the world and to ourselves when we are emotionally hurt. It indicates our security needs, the mother, and fear of the unknown. The moon is reflecting what the sun represents: your feeling responses, reactions to "OTHERS" will, your childlike security needs, represents mother, family, survival instincts, sympathy and sense of belonging. Negatively fear of the unknown, insecurity, defensiveness. This represents your SOUL and also gives clues as to your previous life

Paris' reigning need is to receive attention and acclaim. This is most likely owing to the fact that you either did not get enough attention as a child (for probably quite unavoidable reasons), or you got a lot of it and grew to expect it. In the first case, when you do get attention, you may feel uncomfortable and not quite know what to do with it. In the second, you can get disproportionately upset when you aren't noticed or appreciated. In both cases, what Paris does require is a means of getting attention, holding it, and justifying it. Because she does have a generous sense of drama fun and creativity, this should not be too difficult. At the same time, be prepared to take some constructive criticism of your "acts" The child in her, which is precious about being unconditionally admired as a sign of love, must not be allowed to run the show otherwise others could express their discomfort at this in a far more dramatically distressing fashion than merely criticising you. Not surprisingly with the child so strong and alive in you.

Moon in 1st House
This need and emotional disposition of yours is what Paris constantly live by for it is how you immediately respond to all life situations. There is a childlike quality to how she puts herself across, and therefore like a child she can be anything from ingenuously enchanting to acutely annoying. Paris wears her heart on her sleeve for all to see- This is important to bear in mind that others are inclined to take her face value- for better or worse. She has a natural caring approach and a sympathetic touch- particularly since shes a female.

Putting it all Together:

With an overlook at the Big 3 within Paris' chart we see the theme of nurture, caring and giving. For Paris this is truly a part of herself that is undeniable to resist. Not only does she respond to life emotionally; she responds to everything like a hurt child would due to her not getting over all of the things that happened within her childhood. We see a brief glimpse of this when we look at the Sun in the 12th house. Due to not being able to make peace with the skeletons in her closet Paris will continue to lash out at others when she herself is unhappy.

Shaina's Chiron Profile...

***The information seen on this page comes from a combination of multiple sources in its entirety: Solar Fire, CHIRON ~The Healing Pathway to Personal and Global Reconciliation by Candy Hillenbrand, and http://www.angelfire.com/journal/GregoryJdeMontfort/Chiron.htm for the sole purpose of this discussion. This is not plagiarism;
Only the "Putting it all Together"  and (...) is written by me.***

Chiron as an indicator of "early childhood issues" which affect and in some ways determine their physical and psychological well-being as adults. Chiron can be a bit of a "blind spot" with some folks and thus much be approached with tact and compassion. These are often sore-spots, and there can be outright denial or rejection if you get too close to the truth. The upside to Chiron is that when the placement is in relatively good condition, there can be something of a "blessing in disguise" energy related to Chiron. One could lose a job for example, then discover that they are in the perfect place to start a new business. Or, they could lose an abusive partner days before meeting someone they might have rejected previously.

Healing ability: A prominent Chiron can indicate healing ability. In general, the number of aspects (in this case 3) between Chiron and the other planets indicates the degree of healing potential in a client, but you will find it is almost inevitable when Chiron is close to an axis-point, especially the Ascendant or Midheaven. (which we see here as it is next to the Midheaven)

Chiron in the natal chart represents our "deepest wound". It shows an area of our lives and part of our psyches in which we lack self-esteem or even self-respect and tend to overcompensate as a result. We tend to give and give and give in these areas of life, until we learn to build our confidence. Chiron represents insecurity, guilt, and, to some degree, subservience. We feel a seemingly endless need to prove ourselves in these areas of life, until we learn that proving ourselves simply never works! In fact, it ends up making us feel even more ineffective.

Chiron in Taurus

You will experience a crisis of values. You may experience a lack of self-worth and over-compensate by accruing money and possessions. You may also distrust your body, or feel that your body is not beautiful. You will learn to rely on your own and your body's experiences, and could become a healer.

With Chiron in this placement, values and security are prominent issues in your life. You may feel that you have never been given enough - materially, emotionally, mentally or spiritually. Ultimately, your heart may feel neglected and undernourished leading to poor self-esteem. You may over-compensate this inner wound by accruing money and possessions, or clinging to people in the hopes that they can provide you with that missing sense of security. With Chiron here, you may also mistrust your body, feeling that it will let you down, or you may perceive that your body is not beautiful. There may be an injury or physical trauma that you find difficult to come to terms with, or you may have suffered pain through financial loss or financial insecurity.
Make a list of what you have received in your life, particularly from your parents and loved ones. Keep listing until you can acknowledge the abundance that the Universe has provided for you with sincere gratitude and love. Where you feel you have not been given your due, list the ways in which not receiving has helped you to acknowledge the true abundance that lies inside you - in your heart. Also, list out in two columns what you do and don't like about your body and for each list why. For each answer of 'why' look deeper and list the why of that, you will soon find that appearances are truly only skin deep -- your strength and beauty lie inside - -- in your heart.
The Gift of Chiron in Taurus lies in the acknowledgement of the abundance of love that lies within your own heart................... the Universe provides. You were created in love to express love, and there is no end to that love.
Essential oils which will assist in dissipating and coming to terms with these feelings are: Hyacinth, sandalwood, vetiver, ylang ylang, rose maroc, jasmine, carnation, bergamot, geranium, ormenis flower, cedarwood, tuberose.

Chiron in the 10th House

You suffer from feelings of inadequacy in the outside world and a feeling that your worth is not being recognised. You may be unsure over your career path. Later, you may have a profession as a wounded healer or teacher.

A 10th house placement of Chiron often manifests in a difficulty in setting and achieving goals, or finding our niche in society. There is also the possibility that we may be living up to parental expectations to achieve where they have failed - carrying other's burdens is often a theme, particularly that of the mother. Feelings of inadequacy and that you are not acknowledged for your true worth can also be issues.
If these themes are manifesting in your life, try listing the ways in which you are acknowledged and appreciated by others. Also, make a list of what you believe your value is. Acknowledge your value. Then for each instance where you feel that you are not valued, recognised or heard, list the ways in which this has helped you to value, recognise and hear yourself.
Chiron's special gift here is the acknowledgement of your own value. To recognise yourself and where your gifts lie. To listen and hear the messages of your own heart, see your special place in the Universe, and to help others do the same.
Essential oils which will assist in dissipating and coming to terms with these feelings are: Cardamon, lemon, ginger, black pepper, bergamot, orange, jasmine, rose otto, ormenis flower, basil, peppermint, linden blossom, vetiver, jasmine, clary sage.

Aspects of Chiron
Chiron Sesquisquare Mercury
This is the realm of the mind rather than the heart. The native can tend to be a bit of a "know it all", and the degree to which this is a benefit or a drawback may be indicated by the number of supportive versus challenging aspects.

The Wounding: A communication wound. Feeling misunderstood and unable to communicate.
Parental/environmental Message: "We don't like the way you communicate."
Internalised Message: "You don't understand me. You don't listen to me. I am dumb."
Healing the Wound: Singing, public speaking, chanting, writing, playing a musical instrument. Creative expression of sound. Throat chakra unblocking and healing. Practice of Right Speech and Thought. Snapdragon and Calendula flower essences.
The Gift: The ability to understand others and to teach the art of effective communication and problem solving.
Chiron Opposing Venus
You tend to suffer emotional pain in your personal relationships. You are so busy caring for your loved ones that you neglect your own needs. This imbalance can lead to you resenting your partners . You also tend to become the peacemaker as you are so sensitive to disharmony. You need to learn to nurture yourself and trust your own wisdom.

This native approaches sexual and sensual experiences with a childlike charm and innocence that makes them incredibly attractive. When the two planets are in harmonious contact, a client might be having sexual or creative experiences which are out of the normal realms of social tastes, but are absolutely vital to their own personal development. There can be problems with sexual or gender identity when the two planets are not in harmony, and a challenging aspect can indicate physical, emotional or sexual abuse in childhood. These people become expert at "reading" the motives of other people, and learn to use their sexuality as a shield of protection.

The Wounding: A wound in the area of relationships. Wounded partners. Taking on the wounds of others. Grief, loss of the loved one or beloved. Wounded in love or wounding others in love. Feeling unloved. A wound to the heart.
Parental/environmental Message: "Our love is conditional. We will love you if..."
Internalised Message: "I don't like, appreciate or approve of myself. I am unlovable. Nobody loves me."
Healing the Wound: All experiences of unconditional love. Heart chakra healing. The practice of forgiveness and compassion. The path of Bhakti Yoga (Devotion). Devotional music. Massage and touching. Reiki. The practice of Right Human Relationships. Holly and Borage flower essences. Rose essential oil.
The Gift: The ability to help others heal their relationships. Counselling. Diplomacy. Love.
Chiron Quincunx Neptune

You have a tendency to suffer needlessly. You see yourself as a martyr-like figure. You need to look after yourself, and to be honest with other people.

A stressful Neptune-Chiron placement can indicate that the native is, frankly, not living in the real world. They can often be quite aware that they are "professional daydreamers", and a career in the arts, television or film can be a positive expression of a good contact between these two planets. However, they can indicate self-deception and delusional thinking, drug and sexual abuse when they are strongly challenged.

Putting it all Together:
It seems that Chiron reiterates the core of the problem: self image issues based off of the mother. The way that she reacted in front of, towards and to Shaina has left a deep wound within her. Shaina's concept of the feminine as well as her ability to be comfortable with her body image and self-value are severly lacking here. Throughout this whole discussion of Shaina's chart we see reflections of how her mothers influence has been embedded into her entire being. Her mother was such a powerful figure in her life that it is even indicated here within the Chiron profile. As I have suggested before that there are a lot of issues concerning the mother and her treatment of Shaina- from the aspect that she was better seen and not heard which affected her communication skills (chiron/Mercury) Her ability to find any positivity in the feminine mystique (chiron/Venus) and as a result she feels like everything is her fault (chiron/Neptune). Also I should note that there are actually 8 aspects connected to Chiron: the 3 above mentioned plus the asteriods- Pallas Athena, Ceres, Hygia, and  Lillth (or black moon). 3 of these asteriods are directly related to the feminine principle(Pallas, Ceres and Lillith) which again reinforces the fact that there are heavy issues regarding Women or anything Feminine. The concerns that Shaina has in adulthood can be summed up in Chiron and its aspects; By the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Pluto and the Sun eventhough it represents the Father figure it is in the sign of Capricorn which is governed by a controling mother-dominated enviornment. Since this is a very sensitive subject and area this is all I will expand on for this discussion.

Shaina's Venus Profile...

Shaina's Venus Profile

Yesterday we took a look at the planet Saturn and discovered how the psychological influence of the father stayed with Shaina into her adulthood. Now we are going to see the psychological influence that the mother had over Shania.

Venus
The planetary influence of Venus shows us our attractions and our harmony. It can show you what you need and can give by way of love and affection, beauty and happiness. Positively it shows as social graces and charm. negatively represents indulgence, superficiallity and wanton pleasure seeking which can be interpreted as anti-social.

Every mother has her own attitudes regarding the concenpt of motherhood, the responcibilities of rearing children and viewpoints regarding self- value. If her mother had poorly developed concepts of regarding the feminine princible, if her self-estteem is low if she thinks that woman (or the feminine) have little value, these concepts will be passed into the child. Hard aspects indicate that Shaina's mother affected her child adversely becuase of her state of mind at the time. Becuase this influence happens within the first 3 years of Shaina's life the effect on the subconscious is hard to diagnose. The mother may change, mature, become self aware, develop self easttem later, and Sahina won't remember the early pattern. Shaina is receptive in the formative years to the attitudes projected by her mother; but her responce to the mother's influence is directed at herself. Shaina may feel like she is a second class citizen, she amy feel that women have no rights, and she may have little sense of self-esteem. She may be apprehensive regarding the role of the biological female; all phrases of the reproductive and mothering process may be affected in some adverse way, ranging from avoiding motherhood to overcompinsating for her dislike or apprehension regarding the child rearing process. Shaina may be defenseive of herself and her rights not seeing clearly that those ideas could be better established within. If Shaina has no need of her femininty, she may respond to love and affection with difficulty- it not seem natural to her. She may reject men who are nice to her, for when a woman regards herself as second rate she will be suspicious of anyone who likes her. As Shaina becomes conscious of the limitations of her hard aspects she can cure them and thereby enter into more satisfying relationships.

Venus in Scorpio
Shaina loves deeply and intensely. Perhaps a bit too much, for she can find herself consumed by desire- and then mistake it for love. She will then wind you up trying to satisfy her emotional hunger with sexual indulgence, which doesn't bring her love. Or else she gets herself into a tight relationship where each of them is help hostage by her fearful needs. Or she might attempt to step out of the intimacy stakes altogether which takes some doing. What Shaina really needs to do is return to her first principles: you love deeply becuase at a deep level you want love to transform you. This presupposes that she do not know what love is until it has transformed her and her idea of it. In this way and in this way only can Shaina discover the profound commitment that she craves.

Venus in the 4th House
Shaina finds expression in her home and private life. so her interior decor is tasteful, and her flair for this might be employed on a professional level. Romance too is more happily persued in the home or family envirionemnt, where there is more likely to be a warm atmshpere and no unwelcome intrusions. Shaina's father and background are the wellspring of your sense of grace and charm and in times of stress Shaina will retreat to regenerate in her nest of pleasingly familiar surroundings.

Aspects to Venus

Venus Opposing Chairon
If they react to the confrontation by healing themselves and others they may develop talent as a teacher, counselor, healer, or visionary. Otherwise, they may find themselves flipping back and forth between wanting relationship and wanting to protect themselves from facing the painful issues. They may be drawn to toxic and painful relationships, and may sacrifice the rest of their lives in an attempt to endure the situation until the end. Chiron in this position may connotate somewhat of a loner who has learned to avoid relationships in order to preserve some semblance of inner peace, or in order to keep from engaging in painful interactions. However, the Chiron opposite Venus native may still feel compelled to act out a mentor/student relationship, which can still lead to other forms of relationship in the end.People with this aspect also have a problem with remaining comfortable and secure in their lives, as the financial security they seek is often the source of conflict, or may provide a toxic environment on some level. However, whether the aspect is applying to jobs or relationships, a focus on healing, education, and rising above it all may be the answer to resolving a difficult situation.

Venus is unaspected with any other planet:

Shaina very much needs a partner so that she can feel related and close. The qualities can then be experienced which means that she then feels an integrated member of soceity. In the process however she can exhibit a more or less take-it-or-leave-it attitude when it comes to love ties and social committments. This is because she is predisposed to expect a certain amount of freedom with regard to social involvements- as if there were no rules or constraints invloved. This kind of floating attitude can either be expressed by her as waywardness or irresponcibilty where relationships are concerned or, by way of compensation, she will be attreacted to partnerdhips where limitations and duties sharply defined. The former expression is more likely if there are indications of restlessness or evasiveness elsewhere in your personality; the latter will be more the case if her personality has a conservative bent or where the safer options are pursued in personal relationships. But at some stage of her early life Shaina felt socially confused, like an outcast or disinherited as a result of the diffuculty here in finding or knowing her social or romantic place.

Putting it all Together:
Looking at Shaina's Venus profile we see that Mother has alot to do with how Shaina interepets her self worth and her self value the way that her mother did. What Shaina has to remember is thaat eventhough she is a combination of mother and father it is up to her to be herself; pick the best parts of mom and dad and blend them together inside of her or completely discard what her parents taught her and be free to be the person that she has always wanted to be but didn't know how to go about it. There is a huge pull within Shaina to be exactly like her mother; but she is better than her mother in so many ways if she would just take the time to acknowledge herself in a positive light. It is interesting to note that it was her father that showed her how to retreat into pleasant surroundings not her mother. Maybe this started out as a coping mechanism that turned into a way of life to escape the dominating mother figure in her life. When Shaina begins to develop a healthy sense of herself for the right reasons she will be much happier with herself inside and out. The hard part for Shaina is to be open enough to see patterns that her parents had and not fall into the same trap of becoming them. Due to her parents "role playing" relationship Shaina has an incomplete understanding of what it truly means to love someone. she has so many apprehensions towards it that she will not be able to grow untill she understands that love is not sex and that you cannot get love from sex. Love is something that takes time, energy and effort but if she is willing to relate to her partnes in a loving and affectionalte manner without smothering then most of her mother issues will dissapear.

Shaina's Pluto Profile...

Pluto: Shaina's Transformative Side

Today we are going to be looking at Shaina's Pluto Profile and how the Plutonian energy affects her. The reason that we are starting on Pluto today is because the sign that Saturn is ruled by in her chart is Scorpio and Scorpio is naturally ruled by Pluto. So lets see what we can learn:

Pluto represents power and transformation; it is the seed of power within one's self. This can amount to a sense of destiny or just an obsession. It is also known as the lord of the underworld, urging you to get in touch with your deep and profound levels of consciousness. It is the power of death and transformation and of sexuality and the secrets of birth and all other things. Pluto governs the hidden (occult) and the darker side of life. So Pluto either regenerates or destroys- nothing in between. It has the power to harm or to heal as no other planetary force and it shows you depths (which you might sink to) and insight (that you gained thereby)
Some keywords for the energy of Pluto can be: I'm unconsciously motivated, my generation is unconsciously motivated, I'm obsessed by or I want to be in control of.

Pluto in Scorpio
This generation witnesses the inevitable surfacing of previously hidden or repressed facts and feelings. The deeper and more profound qualities of human nature appear along with, or in some cases are preceded by the most degenerate and coarse aspects of it. This is like a gigantic boil that just had to burst and the poison cleared up, actually forcing us to find a more thorough and effective means of healing and dealing with society's ills. Keywords for Scorpio: searching, feeling unwanted, strong need for love, and researching.

Pluto in the 3rd house
For Shaina, any call of transformation and for depth of experiences is aimed at areas of communication such as education, everyday encounters with relatives, neighbors etc. Such areas are usually noted for their ordinariness, and so she could  well play down heavier and darker emotions such as guilt, desire, phobias and the like. Or as a child they may have been kept out of the way for you- or thrust under your nose in the form of some sort of crisis at school, the death of a brother or a sister, or something that deeply disturbed Shaina's ability to communicate. One day she will appreciate the power of thoughts and words and seemingly commonplace everyday occurrences. This apprehension could show itself as an interest in anything that requires deep thinking- like psychology, detective work, the transforming of her local environment through tackling pollution or informing your neighbors of something of great importance. If Shaina uses writing or spoken word to convey her deeper feelings then her writing will be aimed at altering the very way in which we look at life. She aims to introduce a more profound intellectual tone to her surroundings.

Aspects to Pluto

Pluto Conjunct Moon
Due to Pluto's closeness to The Moon we will consider this planet to be a personal planet. Pluto conjuncting with the Moon symbolizes  a coercive mother image that needs to free oneself from the confusion caused by a controlling mother and her effect on the feminine image in Shaina's own psyche. Until this confusion is understood it may be difficult for Shaina to develop the feeling side of her self. Shaina's personal power and influence are checked and complicated by the negative traits of her moon profile (also refer to the Big 3 + Big 3 Aspected for more information) and by a suspicion that someone or something is out to control her. This is because she absorbed the negative emotions of others especially from her mother. Her own intense and vehement emotional nature resented this and built up an obsessive resistance to changing her emotional disposition or domestic situation- even though she don't really like it. Sooner or later she will be called upon to confront and free these rich, dark feelings once and for all.

Pluto Sextile Neptune
Generationally speaking you know that we are all in the same boat and its time to sink or swim with your fellow human beings. You are helped in taking steps towards enlightenment by the fact that doing so has become a more generally accepted pursuit.

Putting it all Together:
Now we are getting a clearer picture into the early childhood life of Shaina; it looks as though her father kept her focused on the teaching and communicating aspect of Saturn while the mother controlled and manipulated everyone into doing what she wanted. Since both parents help foster the feelings that the energy of Capricorn gave Shaina no wonder she had a tough time growing up! Her intuitive nature with a deep understanding of the undercurrents of her family left her with a sense of not belonging or not being loved by her family. She could sense the uneasiness that she brought to her family because they didn't know how to deal with her. Being tested by her father constantly and consistently with the mothers coercive controlling it is a miracle that Shaina was able to separate herself from her family. Growing up in this type of environment must have been very painful, lonely and cold which is why you may see Shaina for a brief moment have a look of extreme sadness. All of this negative reinforcement took a toll on Shaina which made her look at herself without confidence or self worth. It is no wonder that she feels like no one cares; because it is one of her deep seeded fears from childhood. There is a lot of conflict within this family dynamic that Shaina is going to have to work through and deal with in a constructive manner. It starts by understanding what her childhood interactions were like with her family. understanding that her mother and father image may be tainted only because of her treatment from them. Once She has the courage to face her family fears and find the positive aspects of her mother and father or take it a step further and embody a positive Mother Nature and a Father Nature ideals that will help her cope with just how negative her parents images that she carries around with her conscious, unconscious, or subconsciously. Once she beings to heal herself in that way and realize that she didn't do anything wrong; that her parents were just ill equip to handle someone like Shaina since she needed more attention, affection and love than most due to her intuitively sensitive nature. We ALL IMITATE our parents; as children that is how we learn. If we didn't see certain types of interactions then we do not know that they exist until we go to school and see how other children interact with their parents. In this time we are suppose to be learning how to think for our selves; learn that maybe mommy and daddy aren't always right but here there was fear to do so. Shaina for whatever reason didn't learn these lessons as as a result she has been carrying all of these dark and hurtful feelings around because the 2 people that she needed to understand her refused to at such an early age.

Saturn: Shaina's Governing Planet...

After exploring Shaina's big 3 we have come to learn much about her but we still have a long way to go if we are to understand the birth chart fully. If we look at the sign in which Shaina's Sun is in we see that it is in Capricorn; ruled by the planet Saturn. Some words to describe this planet would be practicality, status, suppressing, and establishing boundaries. To take it a step further and tie it in to what we have already discovered just re worded to fit this discussion:

Saturn's connection to the Sun
The Sun, which is in its natural house, should reflect the "I am" qualities of the Sun- generosity, heart, a heroine, and the radiance of life.  It is manifested to  take on the traits of Leo- creating, dominating, confident, playing and being romantic which is similar to what Shaina shows to the world as her persona (ascendant). This is where it gets tricky. Shaina should be this queenly royal person that leads through love and admiration but here in lies the problem: Her Sun was shining farther away from the Earth at her time of birth; the "curse" of being born in the winter; never knowing the true power of the Sun and how bright it can truly shine. Not knowing the warmth one feels when being born during the summer when the sun is the closest. For the winter is cold and harsh; and it forces you to grow up quickly... which is one or the many reasons that she has a hint of apprehension towards everyone and a faint glimmer of coldness in her eye.
The Sun also represents the how the physical father manifests himself when our personality is forming: how we feel about him and what kind of value system we were exposed to. Since it is in Capricorn during this time Shaina's father was somehow limiting and restricting towards her. Due to the positioning of the sun in the 5th house we see where and how the father was restrictive and limiting- in her creativity, self-expression, fun and games, and her passions. Her father was the one who instilled what he "thought" was a healthy dose of fear in her which he used to control her. Her interactions with father taught her that she doesn't like authority figures, that she needs to be highly objective and by putting pressure on her make her feel inadequate as a child. With the conjunction to Mercury we see that her father is the reason that she communicates, talks, hears, and learns the same way that he did. This is not a normal thing to have this much influence over Shaina since she is after all born under a Mother-dominant environment.

Let's take a look into the actual Saturn profile and get a clearer picture of what we are looking at...

Saturn: Shaina's Governing Planet
Shaina's planet that is ruled by her sun sign has to with lessons and responsibility. Saturn is all about order; necessity and a force of circumstances (karma) and the lessons that they impose with a sense of discipline and responsibility that is behind the learning of them. Saturn is all about teaching you life lessons so that you may become more refined. It tests and puts pressure on a person so it can be limiting and depressing as it delays and denies. It can also represent the concrete reality, the status quo or anything that takes the form of authority: parents, teachers, elders, and officialdom. This planet can also give a sense of inadequatecy or inhibition yet is also the one that gives the sense of achievement and status when we have learned our lessons well. Saturn is indicative of that part of us that needs to mature. If we grow, mature, pass the tests at various life cycles, if we understand universal law, this planet is a friendly one. But if the person still clings to their childhood ideas and illusions, if they wish to remain ignorant of natural law, if we seem to think that Saturn owes us a living it instills fear and inner apprehensions because it relates to the individuals conscious. deep down we know that somehow we didn't cooperate into cosmic law.
This planet is also an indicator of a person's weak points early in life; the point of insecurity that can manifest on a physical level which could mean ill heath or on an intellectual level indicating an apprehension regarding intellectual ability or it can influence one's feeling of self-worth. Children who don't feel worthy feel guilty about taking up space in the universe (more reinforcement of "it is better to be seen and not heard" mentality) for they are seldom recognized by anyone they consider to be an important authority figure early in the life.

Saturn in Scorpio
Shaina is learning to handle and express effectively any kind of power, be it sexual, political, personal, material, occult or whatever. Initially the need to learn these lessons will appear as a fear or disdain  of being deeply involved, of psychology and the unconscious mind, for such things threaten her feelings of control. For the same reason fear of death itself could be an issue since it is the ultimate power in life. She finds herself getting caught up in anything powerfully influential, or compulsive, or that breaks taboos. As time goes by Shaina will learn how to gradually acquire a sense of how to manage intimate relationships and critical, life and death situations which will enable her to become an authority of what was once her weak points: sexuality, death and power with ruthless but just efficentcy.

Saturn in the 4th
The environment was harsh, cold and extremely formal in early childhood; the effect of the father on Shaina's Psyche will manifest as some apprehension of making a home one's own subconsciously fearing that they may inadvertently create the same home environment as an adult if they attempt to establish a parental experience. The lessons that need to be learnt mainly focus on Shaina's inner life and home, and the sense of order that was laid down during the formative early years- By the father. If that sense was absent or restrictive, she will go around with an inner feeling that somethings is missing or not good enough. She'll then become dependant upon having a very stable domestic security to compensate. at some point Shaina will have to reestablish and reaffirm her sense of belonging which was not forthcoming as a child. If this has been had been the other extreme Shaina's early life might have been highly structured in a supportive way, giving her an inner sense of being in the right place at the right time.

Aspects to Saturn
Saturn Trine Mercury
Mercury is the symbol of outgoing communication, the mind, ideas, the five senses. Saturn represents the law, tradition, the psychological influence of the father, our ideas of caution based on apprehensions that we may have absorbed from the early father image. It indicates that Shaina takes her words seriously, that inhibitions or traditions taught to her by her father will affect her ability to communicate. It places restrictions on her confidence regarding her ability to communicate even it is a soft aspect. This type of energy shows us that Shaina is a person who is kind of serious, dependable and often hardworking. A certain type of loneliness can be inferred for when communication is restricted limitations may be placed on the ability to share thoughts. With a Trine being in place here the energy reveals that she was exposed to a father image that helps her learn to communicate, even though family communication tends to be on the serious side but will follow through on details, work well with the general public, and have well ordered mind.

Saturn Semi Square Neptune
When these two planets combine, tradition and father influence are tied to the concept of creativity and spiritual love. The father image becomes cloudy because Neptune brings illusion to anything that it touches. This can manifest as either some delusion or inspiration about ones own roots. It can indicate who has the skeletons in their closet or one who worships the family. also someone who wants to explore the creative consciousness or one who is afraid of it. Sometimes Neptune can add additional apprehensions and paranoia's to the exploration of the Saturn fears then the exploration becomes more difficult. In order to take our place in the universe one must become conscious of the effect that our father had on us; mythologically explore the concept of the father, by understanding the physical man that is the personal father to the mythic symbolism of heredity as it forms the basis of tradition. Neptune represents the spiritual love and the universal creative urges. When hard aspects are involved it could mean that the ability to free one's self from the bonds of tradition become arduous but the labor is well worth it.
Shaina may have been born into a family that has illusions or delusions regarding the father, heredity or family influence. The father will affect Shaina's concept of creativity, perhaps impeding the development of some form of creative expression. Influence of the father will work against her dreams and goals, or even the development of her spiritual goals.  This aspect may indicate a person that has to pull away from the family experience in order to find herself. She may not see authority figures for what they are; she may be supportive of people who disappoint her.

Saturn squaring Ascendant

Saturn opposing Mid Heaven
Due to the nature of this aspect it is another reinforcement of how Shaina's father's early childhood influence has taken a toll on her. whatever her father instilled in her is what is keeping her from being the person that she needs to be in her professional life.

Putting it all Together:
Taking a look at the Saturn profile really gave us some insight into Shaina's fears and how they came about. Again it is important to note that Shaina has a lot of fatherly influence over her even though she was born under a mother dominant sign. This also reinforces the fact that Shaina's Leo/ Capricorn problem goes far deeper than just what lies on the surface of the Big 3 discussion. It was the image that her father imposed on her as a child that still haunts her into adulthood and it is that memory of him that hinders Shaina. When we look at the whole of it we see that mommy and daddy's treatment of Shaina was hard on her development as a child. The home environment wasn't a very comforting one where she felt that she didn't belong. Along with other factors we see that if Shaina wants to get over these blocks she will have to face her father on mulitiple levels that may bring up a lot of things that the family doesn't want to discuss.
