Paris' Venus Profile...

Paris' Venus Profile

The planetary influence of Venus shows us our attractions and our harmony. It can show you what you need and can give by way of love and affection, beauty and happiness. Positively it shows as social graces and charm. negatively represents indulgence, superficiality and wanton pleasure seeking which can be interpreted as anti-social. It also represent the ability to relate, harmonize, and to express ones self through art and a sense of aesthetics. it has a great deal to do with female sexuality and sensuality and symbolizes what you like.

Venus is never far from the Sun but here it is. Venus is usually one sign ahead or behind the sun just as Mercury is. Here Venus is 2 signs behind the sun which is very unique. It represents the impact of the mother has on the child's psyche on a subconscious level. Every mother has her own attitudes regarding the concept of motherhood, the responsibilities of rearing children and viewpoints regarding self- value. If her mother had poorly developed concepts of regarding the feminine principle, if her self-esteem is low if she thinks that woman (or the feminine) have little value, these concepts will be passed into the child. Hard aspects indicate that Paris' mother affected her child adversely because of her state of mind at the time. Because this influence happens within the first 3 years of Paris' life the effect on the subconscious is hard to diagnose. The mother may change, mature, become self aware, develop self esteem later, and Paris won't remember the early pattern. Shaina is receptive in the formative years to the attitudes projected by her mother; but her response to the mother's influence is directed at herself. Paris may feel like she is a second class citizen, she may feel that women have no rights, and she may have little sense of self-esteem. She may be apprehensive regarding the role of the biological female; all phrases of the reproductive and mothering process may be affected in some adverse way, ranging from avoiding motherhood to overcompensating for her dislike or apprehension regarding the child rearing process. Paris may be defensive of herself and her rights not seeing clearly that those ideas could be better established within. If Paris has no need of her femininity, she may respond to love and affection with difficulty- it not seem natural to her. She may reject men who are nice to her, for when a woman regards herself as second rate she will be suspicious of anyone who likes her. As Paris becomes conscious of the limitations of her hard aspects she can cure them and thereby enter into more satisfying relationships.

Venus in Gemini
Paris likes to keep love at an adolescent level of expression. She likes the flirting, chasing and the love games, and do not like it when things get too heavy or committed. For her, love is in bud rather than in full bloom, so if you want something to last, you have to give it a chance to develop, be more steadfast, and not abandon it to the winds of fate. For her love and beauty are things of the mind, and so you may well have some literary ability. In real life, though, your predilection for keeping things light and airy can be a serious hazard to maintaining a mature relationship. And her natural flightiness would be better or well employed in some art form like dance or song. In essence, you are having a relationship with yourself. As long as this does not become too materialistic or narcissistic and wrap you up in yourself, you do keep the love stacks fresh and interesting.

Venus in the 11th house
Paris wants to experience these senses and bring this style of loving into an open friendly possibly somewhat detached and idealistic sphere of social activity. Her Venus sign qualities may not lend themselves well to this. She very much wants a partner to be on good terms with her friends and associates and to share her social aspirations. Conflicting aims or social values can spell disruption or death to a relationship. Knowing her lover initially as a friend is a strong prerequisite to having a harmonious relationship. And the actual meeting  of your mate is more likely to occur at a club or some group gathering. Her social sense is quite evolved or future-oriented, but in this respect she is inclined to forget that one person's meat is another one's poison.

Aspects to Venus

Venus sextile Jupiter
The sextile indicates a person whose psyche is constructively affect by her mother for she shows her that relationships can take place, that one can reach out and be favorably received. Metaphysically speaking, we all get what we expect. Some people are able to reach out naturally- to respond to others to ask for what is needed because the early childhood environment was encouraging. This individual will have an inner sense of security that will enable her to have the confidence she needs to pursue her goals. This aspect indicates a predilection for comfortable emotional relationships, and she will pass her responsiveness on to her children.

Venus opposing Uranus
Venus symbolizes our intellectual concept of love how we appreciate beauty, how we receive love how we approach our wants in life. it tells us something about the concept of femininity that we absorb from our mother during our formative years. Uranus is more of a generational symbol that has to do with our behavioral urges our eccentricities our more willful behavior as well as an attitude toward consciousness. When these two facets of personality combine the concept of love becomes more farsighted, perhaps more unusual or unorthodox. Here the talent in the aspect has to be worked for because the individual arrives in a difficult family atmosphere and absorbs some unproductive behavior patterns from the mother. Venus indicates that the affect of the mother on the child's psyche. Her influence will affect the formation of Paris' concept of what a woman is as well as the concept of affection, love and the ability to receive it. Uranus indicates the behavior pattern of the generation the individual is born into and the sign and house placement will show areas of willfulness and erratic or eccentric behavior. When the opposition takes place it indicates that the person is subject to some kind of loos in childhood; the aspect may or may not be as severe as Saturn afflictions to Venus. The rest of the chart will tell whether or not the mother was cruel- looking at the aspects of the moon, sun, ascendant, and determine the effects of the fourth house in order to further understand the affect of the mother. She may or may not have been cruel to the person she may have just not been involved or not cared. The aspect shapes an adult who jumps in and out of love affairs and doesn't know what she wants, for Venus represents the "I want" nature and Uranus makes that erratic. Paris' may jump from one relationship to the next, or one job to the next, or even jump in and out of career training programs for she changes her mind a lot. She doesn't know what to expect from her own emotional nature or how to receive the love given to her. She may be warm and affectionate one minute and gone the next. The fear of relationships may have something to do with the fact that her mother had an erratic personality; she may have been unpredictable when she was a child. No matter how stable she is later in life, Paris still fears a trusting relationship. The female has more difficulty with this aspect for it alters the concept of the biological female role and she may not feel comfortable coping with children (When childhood is extremely unpleasant the adult may subconsciously avoid creating and similar circumstance. This can put a damper on a relationships.) If I had to guess I would say that Paris may have been physically or mentally abused in some way when she was a child. In order to break the power of this aspect, unhealthy or erratic behavior patterns must become conscious. The abrupt handling of emotional relationships can be altered by analyzing past relationships especially in a therapeutic setting.

Venus semisquare Pluto
Venus symbolizes the intellectual concept of love; the regard for the feminine or the feminine principle. the attitude affecting a women's self worth and her response to her biological role comes from this placement for it indicates the attitudes of the mother in regard to her own nature when the individuals' psyche is able to absorb those feelings. Pluto can be identified as the unconscious motivation of a generation as well as symbolizing the portion of the collective unconscious that holds the mythic archetypal images of humanity. When this symbol is not understood consciously, it can reflect as aspect of personality that is less spectacular but more commonly recognized as forms of personal control and obsession. The hard aspects to Pluto will require that the individual move from obsessive responses to transformation and regeneration. The hard aspects may in fact cause more growth potential than the easy ones.  When Venus and Pluto come together it is obvious that the effort of the combined energies will influence the personal capacity for love. The range of feeling experience is a phenomenal for one can easily cooperate with the mood of the generation changing the patterns of social custom in a manner complementary to previous traditions , or one can function in a highly controlled manner. In the personal sense the combination reflects the possibility of including manipulation in the life experience. Because Venus is involved, the manipulation or obsession or control/power game comes from the mother influence. A person who is exposed to power games in childhood will develop into an adult who thinks she must control everyone as well- because a child can only imitate what she sees her parents doing. The facet of life that has to do with love and affection  will be the area of heaviest manipulation. In order to use the tie to the collective unconscious (symbolized by Pluto) the more obvious misuses of the energy will have to be rechanneled. When an individual takes responsibility for her actions, when she can recognize the control games that she plays, she can let them go.  When this occurs, the energy becomes creative and exciting. The ideas are new, the fountain from the collective unconscious never runs dry. The struggle is worth it. Here the mother provided an unhealthy atmosphere for the native when she was forming her reactions to the  "female" part of the world., when her psyche was developing an ability to love and to appreciate being loved, the mother was responding to her life in a plutonic manner. For some reason the mother of this individual felt that it was important to control all of the people she loved and she may have drained her family. This created a feeling in the individual that all women drain one, that all females are out to manipulate. If the Pluto influence was a physical one it will be more comprehensible in later years; but if the mother used the manipulative power of "smother love" this person may be forced to confront her at some point and this guilt over having to do so may inhibit her capacity for solving the aspect. This aspect tends to unconsciously attempt to control others. One way for the individual to become aware of how he does this is by observing others' reactions to her manipulative games. Strongly self contained people will avoid her for she tries to manipulate them, and manipulation is usually an indirect action. Some people resent controls being placed on them by the person with the Venus-Pluto semisquare, for her energy makes her feel cornered unfree unable to breathe around the Plutonic personality. The person with the aspect is often totally unaware of what she is doing, for her know no other to be. The female with this aspect feels she must hold on to her position for all it's worth or she wont have one. When Pluto aspects are strong in the natal chart it indicates a powerful personality with lots of potential for growth, but the energy must be used consciously or the individual tends to be used by it; the individual may be a victim of her own energy. When the individual can trust the natural power within, the inner self can guide her and she begins to allow things to happen. We cannot make anyone love us; we can "make" them act politely towards us, love is always a voluntary experience. When giving up controls we have to confront the fact the love cannot be forced, not made to happen. We can control with power, prestige, money or our manipulative abilities but we can never have inner feelings of security if we are living that way. When the inner confidence comes, so does the creativity.

Paris' Big 3 Aspected...

Yesterday we learned that Paris is a highly emotional person due to her experiences of her past. That she is reactionary; which means that she reacts to the vibration that others are giving off. When her feelings get hurt she has a two-fold process: Paris will yell and scream and then retreat into her shell till it is safe.

Today we will discuss the planets and the energies that also play a role in Paris' life.

The Ascendant and its aspects:

Ascendant conjunct Mars
This combination is important for the Ascendant is the house symbol of the action taken, how one starts things; and Mars is the planetary indicator of the action taken. Mars generally indicates how the sun sign qualities are put into action. This is a very powerful aspect for it indicates a high energy potential. These individuals will make quick, sometimes rash, decisions. The early childhood environment will be very active and it may even be somewhat violent. These individuals will be very familiar with anger, and the kind of anger that she was exposed to as a child will be indicated by the sign in which the conjunction occurred. In this case the conjunction is in Pisces which means the type of anger displayed was one of projected with guilt attached to it, perhaps anger that is caused by overly sensitive reactions to life. The emotional reaction to life will have to be handled constructively or Paris might spend too much time overreacting to ordinary life situations. Career decisions need to be thought out carefully to overcome the natural inclination to jump into new situations thoughtlessly.

Ascendant square Jupiter
The Ascendant is the Masquerade, the indicator of how we project our persona; it reflects how we handle new beginnings. Jupiter indicates how we relate ourselves to others, and how we relate to our personal needs. We either relate (or understand) what we start, or we don't. If we relate easily we tend to do well professionally.; if not, we really have to be brilliant in order to get ahead. When Jupiter squares the Ascendant the relationship needs argue with the persona. in Paris' case there is an argument about whether or not to put herself out there or in situations that could hurt her without overreacting.

Ascendant semisquare Saturn
Saturn indicates what we regard with caution and the Ascendant represents the persona, or how we begin something new, the aspects between Saturn and the Ascendant will indicate caution or circumspection. When Saturn squares or in this case semisquares the Ascendant the approach to any new beginning is clouded with conflict, for early in the life the Father was not encouraging. Paris will commence with new activities with caution or apprehension. Some of the conflict will be caused by an inner lack of self confidence, for early problems with the father image usually manifest as problems with authority figures later on. The semisquare indicates that there is a self-worth predicament that can be coupled with the sign quality dilemma indicated by the square aspect. Cancer rising indicates a soft approach, a need for love, a positive approach to life, perhaps the ability to nurture others that can be used in a profession. Saturn in Saggitarius suggests that the father early in life was anything but that and as a result Paris has some unresolved father issues that are impeding her adult growth. If Paris is to grow she needs to confront her image of her father and incorporate both of these strong personalities into her being without judgment; just acceptance.

Ascendant square Midhaven
The MidHeaven is the point in the sly where the Sun would be at noon. The quality of the sign placed here in the tenth house at the time of birth symbolizes the nature of your position in the world- status, profession, reputation, recognition and where your experience Authority. That being said since it is in the sign of Aries Paris has a certain boldness to make her way professionally in the world. She would do well in any type of profession that entails some type of pushing, selling or pioneering which could include the military. Holding a leading position in her career is also quite desirable as is having freedom to do things her way. At times she may have to fight pretty hard to maintain or achieve a certain position. This proves to be worth it in the long run, when she is at last out in front. To compensate for this often-hectic outer world activity it is important for her to have a harmonious home life. Making a priority out of this is desirable, and a beautiful home atmosphere is very possible. Here there is a clash between the persona of Paris and the professional that she wants to be.

The Sun and its Aspects:

Sun Conjunct Mercury
Because Paris' Sun and Mercury are both in Cancer this makes her not only act like a cancer but she also talks and communicates like a Cancer. Since Mercury represents the 5 senses as well as the mind, Mercury in Cancer people hear, speak and relate via the 5 senses in an emotional way. Mercury just helps to express the qualities of the sign type that you were born into even if it does not agree with what the Sun wants; this planet helps shine light in a positive way of growth.

Sun Opposing Neptune
There is a feeling of loss and a need for compromise added to it. The father of this child is so involved with his own spiritual growth that he ignores the child. Paris doesn't understand why her father is so distant and removed. When questioning the parents, the child is probably misinformed, for Neptune opposing the Sun often indicates that the father is either romanticized or aspersions are cast in his direction. Paris is confused as to who daddy is and therefore who she is. The world of fantasy, creativity, illusion and delusion are delights for the child. The tendency to go off into a dream world is sometimes hard to avoid.  The sense of this individuals personal reality is distorted in some way-the child feels like she is living a lie. This opposition also makes the child fantastically intuitive and psychic. It's difficult for others to understand these children. Since these people do not know what is expected of them  as far as social behavior is concerned forming love relationships can present difficulties. Communication with others may be delivered on a "mental" plane rather by verbal communication. expectations about relationships may be unrealistic, for the expectations may be full of fantasy. This in itself may prevent relationships from developing for their feelings are too hurt by too many people too often. There may be discomfort in working with the physical body so the physical emotional relationships may be difficult to consummate on the "grosser" levels since love is a spiritual experience. Much of the difficulty can be traced by and back to the father. for when this person is young the father lives in his own private world. The girl child grows up to think that all men should be like her dad. Paris is surprised to find that other adults don't act and react in the same manner similar to dad's. When the energy is understood the aspect can be really creative. Once she finds her creative outlet they love their work, they love to work with their ideas and the enthusiasm is delightful.

Sun Trine Pluto
When these two planets confront each other, two portions of the personality are interacting. The sun represents the " I am " principle in each of us. Pluto represents great transformation, for its rulership is the symbol of transformation and death. As these two to parts of the personality relate to each other they involve the principle of personal growth. Pluto brings obsession, the ability to control and manipulate, as well as the energy of transformation. As long as we hang onto our present life style and our present consciousness, we reach out more often to control others as well as the universe around us. We think that "control" will guarantee that our personal universe will not change. However, the catch 22 about aspects is that we must transform ourselves. The effects of Pluto seem to tie in with the feeling of being uprooted, or overwhelmed by something or someone much larger and stronger than ourselves. We have to learn to trust in the universe before we can let go- and when we let go of control or obsession, we are beginning our rebirth. That being said here is a soul on a constructive trip. This aspect tends to manifest on two levels: either the individual is going along for a ride in this life, a ride that allows one to enjoy all the things of the contemporary culture- the suburban home, the color tv, the joys of mass market entertainment; or the person has the energy and talent to work cooperatively with traditional managemental concerns dedicated to doing something for humanity. In each case the personality is capable of expressing the Sun energies in a constructive way as long as their involved in some kind of group endeavor. Any kind of mass media communication will be successful and fulfilling for there are natural talents for it in the chart. This is a child who was born into an atmosphere where the parents are able to teach her or reach her. The father is cooperative individual who presents the child with an image of an authority figure communicating in a warm way with other authority figures. When dad returns home from work he doesn't present a negative picture of the work world, he doesn't feel isolated as a father; therefore, the child feels more secure.  Other aspects may offset this, and the energy may not be free to flow until the "blocking" aspect is cured.

The Moon and its Aspects:

Moon Trine Saturn
The moon indicates our emotional responses to the various aspects of life, it represents our physical mother during childhood, it indicates how we react emotionally to those close to us. Saturn symbolizes restrictions, feelings of lack, inhibitions, attitudes of self-denial. It also indicates the impact of the father on the psyche. When these two planets interact with each other they indicate the mother and her emotional reactions to her environment and how they are affected by the attitudes of the father during the native's formative years. Whenever there is a contact of the moon and Saturn, the person feels that emotional reactions cannot or should not be displayed; that all authority figures ( the father, other males introduced later in life, as well as any person in authority) can restrict and restrain the emotional nature. Paris arrives in an atmosphere where the father works cooperatively with the mother and visa versa; the parents present a united front even if it is a somber one. The child learns to work through emotional problems; she offers herself carefully in a relationship, for emotions are not treated lightly. The chance of starting a relationship that works through all of the possibilities, that leaves no stone unturned, that explores all its potential, comes out of this aspect. This makes for a careful thinker someone who is reasonable in crisis situations, a person who doesn't fly off the handle in spontaneous reactions. This is a diplomatic personality.

Putting it all together:

So it looks like Paris has to come to terms with her childhood and her perception of her father and what he means to her. there is a lot of hints within her chart that indicate that the father is a source of discomfort and blocked memories that are impeding her growth as an adult. Due to her feelings regarding her father she is prone to be anti-men, or anti anything that reminds her of her father. It seems that she gets her flare for her emotional reactions from her mother because that is how she understood her mother to react.

Paris' Natal Chart... The Big 3

Paris' Natal Chart

I was lucky enough to get permission from my friend Paris to breakdown and discuss her Natal Chart.

Cancer Ascendant/ Capricorn Descendant, Sun in Cancer, Moon in Leo

The Ascendant
The Ascendant indicates the things that we are trying to be; not the things that we are. This is where the individual creates her persona; a survival mechanism that allows us to put our best foot forward and be seen for what we want to be seen as. Depending on the environment the ascendant qualities and traits might have been more accepted than the person's sun and moon aspects were. When this happens the person learns to hide their "true self" and only bring out their "representative" i.e. the ascendant sign. What is challenging is that when we are young we are at odds with our selves- the person that we are trying to be (the Ascendant), the person that we are (the Sun) and how that person responds to life. (the Moon)

Ascendant in Cancer
When we look at this chart we begin to notice that Paris is a Double Cancer with her moon in Leo. Due to Cancer being her rising sign Paris is a "feeler" which means that she picks up on any and all emotional climates around her with instinctive ease. She has a tendency on picking up others peoples feelings and have a hard time deciding if it is her feelings or someone elses. Cancer usually respond by giving care or sympathy, or needing it- or she simply withdraws into her shell until its safe to come out again. Cancer rising is described as the "Emotional Waste Paper Basket" for it allows you to become "dumped upon" as a result of appearing too available emotionally. With each moodiness being the hallmark of her identity Paris is inclined to attract an "Other"  who is more emotionally controlled, restrained or repressed even. The other might be somewhat older than her, biologically or psychologically, and therefore more adult or worldly. Other provides her with the equipment and technique that make it possible to function in the harsh material world that her childlike persona can blanch at. If other's more mature stance appears cold or calculating to her, though, she will give a commensurate display of fearfulness and/or withdraw. Paris has a dreamy, sensitive and sentimental response to like makes her react negatively to anything that appears to be coldly realistic and unfeeling. But that is what all it is - a reaction that interprets a businesslike and objective approach to things as being alien and unfamiliar, and therefore uncaring. Such a subjective response has at its root a feeling of insecurity that has your mother, father, and childhood as the reason behind it. Paris needs to take a step back and see that this impersonal attitude is the very objectivity, seriousness, and sober sense of purpose that she needs to learn to acquire so as to feel more safe and secure in the world. Paris requires a traditional type of relationship, where each of them has a clear sense of their role and position in it. This may feel restrictive and limiting at first but eventually and paradoxically, this feeling of having knowing your boundaries and responsibilities is what makes you feel secure and protected enough to go out and explore your potentials and make the most of yourself. An open, easy-come-easy-go kind of relationship would not give her this. When or if alone it will be very likely because she has not accepted the limitations or lessons of a relationship in the way outlines above. Without doing this a relationship or other can wither on the vine. Seeking some kind of unrealistic "freedom" can be the culprit behind this and the reason behind that can be a very basic and unconscious distrust of finding any Other whom you can rely on at all. Alternatively, not taking a tough enough "impersonal" stance with Other can leave Paris feeling emotionally exhausted if not on your own.

Sun in Cancer
If the Ascendant tells us who we are trying to be then the Sun placement shows us what we are or who we are. This is our true self; we just hide it underneath the persona of the Ascendant. When we chase and pursue our persona we neglect the person that were are suppose to be.

So now that we have dived into Paris' Ascendant information we see that she is a creature based off of emotional reactions; whether it be her own emotion or someone else's. When we look at the sun we see that Paris' essential purpose to her life is to nurture and care for whatever or whomever she believes needs it. She has an instinct for survival, marked by a sense of what best constitutes protection and nourishment. But what essentially gives her this instinct is your sense of need, sympathy and emotional receptivity. As Cancer is such a female and maternal sign, the women usually become a natural wife and mother, and she meets her own needs through meeting the needs of others. The limitation here is that such a life can become dull and automatic, with the Cancerian priority, home, turning into a prison. However, having someone or something to selflessly care for is the key to being a secure and happy Crab. What were clinging claws, or would clam up at the slightest sign of emotional intrusion, then become a pair of open arms that holds firmly, cradles gently. The acute awareness of another's feelings which negatively can feel threatened and be used to emotionally blackmail, becomes a ray of healing.

Sun in the 12th House
All of this sun energy is centered upon and caused by experiences of the dim and distant past- of this life, womb-life, or even before that. Whether these experiences are felt like heavy shadows or like paradise lost her will must bend itself to clearing out that closet of repressed longings, regrets, and vague reservations. She is open to unseen forces- for good or ill-  and this could also incline towards addictions or strange phobias and notions, but at the positive end you can be inspired artistically or as a channel for spiritual messages. The twelfth house can be the hell of the horoscope or the heaven of the horoscope- everything depends upon your essential integrity of being. Managing all of this can be quite a task and may restrict your life to a degree that is proportionate to how much that closet has not been cleared. In the process, or eventually, you can become a light in the darkness to others who are similarly confined by their fears and weaknesses. Inner peace for one and all is the only ultimate goal for Paris, so meditation, selfless service and psychological awareness( or sometimes practices) are your essential ways of living. Because of your basically reclusive nature, you prefer, to work behind the scenes, go into retreat occasionally, and not be too much in the public eye. Paris' public persona may be different than the inner Paris.

Moon in Leo
The Moon reflects the light the sun is giving off. it shows us how we respond to the others, the world and to ourselves when we are emotionally hurt. It indicates our security needs, the mother, and fear of the unknown. The moon is reflecting what the sun represents: your feeling responses, reactions to "OTHERS" will, your childlike security needs, represents mother, family, survival instincts, sympathy and sense of belonging. Negatively fear of the unknown, insecurity, defensiveness. This represents your SOUL and also gives clues as to your previous life

Paris' reigning need is to receive attention and acclaim. This is most likely owing to the fact that you either did not get enough attention as a child (for probably quite unavoidable reasons), or you got a lot of it and grew to expect it. In the first case, when you do get attention, you may feel uncomfortable and not quite know what to do with it. In the second, you can get disproportionately upset when you aren't noticed or appreciated. In both cases, what Paris does require is a means of getting attention, holding it, and justifying it. Because she does have a generous sense of drama fun and creativity, this should not be too difficult. At the same time, be prepared to take some constructive criticism of your "acts" The child in her, which is precious about being unconditionally admired as a sign of love, must not be allowed to run the show otherwise others could express their discomfort at this in a far more dramatically distressing fashion than merely criticising you. Not surprisingly with the child so strong and alive in you.

Moon in 1st House
This need and emotional disposition of yours is what Paris constantly live by for it is how you immediately respond to all life situations. There is a childlike quality to how she puts herself across, and therefore like a child she can be anything from ingenuously enchanting to acutely annoying. Paris wears her heart on her sleeve for all to see- This is important to bear in mind that others are inclined to take her face value- for better or worse. She has a natural caring approach and a sympathetic touch- particularly since shes a female.

Putting it all Together:

With an overlook at the Big 3 within Paris' chart we see the theme of nurture, caring and giving. For Paris this is truly a part of herself that is undeniable to resist. Not only does she respond to life emotionally; she responds to everything like a hurt child would due to her not getting over all of the things that happened within her childhood. We see a brief glimpse of this when we look at the Sun in the 12th house. Due to not being able to make peace with the skeletons in her closet Paris will continue to lash out at others when she herself is unhappy.
